Building Bridges

Bridges to the Future was an idea that started after one family became resource parents, saw a need amongst the youth in the system and prayed about a way to help and get others involved.

When teens age out of the foster care system, they need continued support from loving and caring mentors in the community.  It is incredibly important for teens when they are making choices about their future such as; finding employment, furthering their education and locating housing. Those children that grow up in a family depend on their parents to guide them as they navigate their futures. This is hard for those with no one to depend on encouraging and uplifting them.  Teens without family need to make close connections with adults who have their best interest at heart and will be there when things get hard…which they always do.

Bridges to the Future will be involved in educating, motivating and inspiring youth to be who they are destined to be.  We are excited to reach this special age group to remind them that their lives have purpose and meaning.
